Anne Brockelman, AIA, LEED AP BD+C is an architect with 17 years of experience in the design profession. She is a Senior Associate at Perry Dean Rogers Partners Architects (PDR), a full-service architectural firm with a national reputation for service to academic and cultural institutions. She brings to the practice an enthusiasm for creating dynamic learning environments, where her interests in the practice and teaching of design converge. For this reason, she finds working with educational building typologies an ideal way to explore the relationship between education and practice. Also an educator, she has served as adjunct faculty at the Boston Architectural College since 2001, and received the Certificate in Design Education in 2006.
Since joining PDR in 2006, Ms. Brockelman’s diverse experience has included all project phases from planning, programming through construction, and various project types such as campus and facilities master plans, academic libraries, and institutional projects such as a museum and a courthouse. As Director of Sustainable Design, she has led the sustainable design focus of many projects at PDR, working with institutional clients to introduce sustainable design strategies to campuses or buildings, as well as managing the LEED administration and certification effort.
Ms. Brockelman graduated from Wesleyan University with a B.A. in Art History and Studio Art, and holds a Master of Architecture from Harvard University's Graduate School of Design.
