Matthew Deninger, Ed.M., is the Director of Resource Allocation Strategy and Planning in the Office of Planning and Research at the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. In this role, Matt works to support school districts in their efforts to enhance their use of resources to improve academic achievement across the board, especially in areas that serve economically disadvantaged and other at-risk populations. The "RASP" office accomplishes its work primarily through the administration and implementation of a wide range of funding mechanisms, including several federal grant programs.
Mr. Deninger has experience as a high school English teacher, athletics coach, researcher, and, at the Department, as a district liaison, policy analyst, project manager, and performance management expert.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in English from Dartmouth College and a Master’s degree in Educational Policy and Management from the Harvard University Graduate School of Education.
